 Welcome to the middle school, which includes grades five through eight. Our middle school classrooms are designed for whole-class and small-group instruction, with homeroom teachers and numerous specialists working together to create effective and engaging learning environments. Our middle school is known for the healthy, supportive relationships between students and faculty, and for encouraging and inspiring each student to meet his or her highest level of individual accomplishment.
When you walk through our middle school you will often observe students working together. Collaboration and communication are two skills we highly value, and we encourage our students to work respectfully with one another as they learn. Whether designing a group presentation or building something together in the projects lab, our students learn by doing, and learn together.
Our middle school offers an integrated educational experience, with a core academic program supplemented by drama, art, physical education, projects lab, Spanish, music, and chorus. Teachers and specialists work together as a team for each class, group, and individual to provide a program that is well-rounded, meaningful, and relevant. Our goal is to guide our students as they find their passion and purpose, and to help them prepare for their future by developing an understanding of themselves as learners and as people.
