Fundraising, event planning, community building, communications, publications, Web sites, the school store, alumni affairs, newsletters... The list goes on an on. These days, Development does a lot more than just raise money. While raising funds to support school operations, new programs and facilities is still our top priority, we are deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of the school. The Development Office is responsible for this Web site, and for our two school periodicals: The "Friday Note," our weekly newsletter; and "Footsteps," our bi-monthly magazine. We also plan a wide range of events around the school including: our annual auction; back-to-school events such as the Sock Hop; holiday events like Halloween's monster mash and haunted house; community building events that include class dinners and welcome coffees; and a variety of Parent Association sponsored events. As for fundraising, our largest and most important source of funds is our Annual Fund. Donations to the Annual Fund directly support the day-to-day operations of our school and allow us to maintain the highest quality education possible. Follow the link on the left to find more information about the Annual Fund. Every year, we also have several smaller, more focused fundraising campaigns for: Diversity, the Library Media Center, the Outdoor Education Center and a Facilities Wishlist. At the moment, we are gearing up for a capital campaign to build a new Gym / Fine Arts Building. We hope to kick-off this campaign in the next two years. Before we launch that campaign however, we are doing some "housekeeping." We have a wishlist of items that we need to upgrade, repair or improve. You can find more information about our wishlist by following the link on the left. We invite you to read more about what Development is doing here at MP&MS and to find out how you can become involved. Thank You, Judy Regalia
