Ask parents, "Why MP&MS?" and they speak of the rich, integrated, and challenging curriculum offered at all grade levels.

Thank you for your interest in Marin Primary & Middle School. We look forward to getting to know you and to helping you learn more about our school.

MP&MS provides an academically stimulating and nurturing learning environment for children and a welcoming community for our families. As students progress from preschool and kindergarten through primary and middle school, MP&MS instills a passion for learning, respect for community, and a dedication to global citizenship. These qualities stem from our mission statement: we treasure childhood, teach students to embrace their academic potential, and inspire children to make a difference.

We offer a low overall student-teacher ratio, with primary and middle school students spending most of their learning time in small groups of 12-15 students. MP&MS teachers are ongoing learners who participate in the continuous evaluation and evolution of our curriculum. We embrace new research about learning and incorporate appropriate new ideas into our program to refine our tradition of teaching excellence and meet the needs of our community of active, engaged learners.

We value and foster a diverse and inclusive community. We are interested in children who love to learn, can rise to the challenge of a rigorous academic program, and who will thrive in an environment that encourages leadership, independent thinking, and the social and emotional skills to participate effectively as a collaborative learner.

Our community of families has a culture of parent involvement, volunteerism, and support for the school. MP&MS students come from all over the Bay Area with bus service to serve San Francisco families.

We encourage families to visit MP&MS and see our community in action. The tours offered by the admission office provide the opportunity to see our campus, meet our teams of teachers and administrators, and get a glimpse of what makes our community unique.

Please call 415.413.9044 to speak directly with our admission office. We look forward to the opportunity to meet your family.
